POSITION OVERVIEW
The MEP Project Coordinator reports to the General Superintendent and works closely with the Division Manager, General Superintendent, each Project Team, and other stakeholders to ensure a successful project. This position helps to ensure that all project resources maintain compliance with contracts encompassing project safety, quality, value, timeliness, and profitability.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Develop and Maintains project schedules
  • Plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines.
  • Forecasting manpower needs in conjunction and coordinating with the Project Team, General Superintendent and Division Manager
  • Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Monitors and reviews time sheets and daily reports as needed
  • Manage and maintain professional relationships with vendors/subcontractors for the purpose of successful completion the field project(s)
  • Represents the company in project-related meetings
  • Attend jobsite walk-throughs weekly
  • Verify correct drawings are distributed to field
  • Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other problems by submitting notices to support the claim
  • Coordinates with QA/QC, BIM, Prefab Designer, Prefab and Warehouse
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Maintain healthy working relationships with Clients, Customers, Estimators, preconstruction and
  • Identify better processes
  • Identify improvements that Increase safety, increase productivity, reduce cost, shorten schedules, and strengthen owner/Client relationships
  • Establish Project leadership goals, and identify future leaders for mentoring and additional training
  • Builds and maintains a positive Project Team attitude
REQUIREMENTS
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry and its current events
  • Technical competencies - understand software, hardware, networks,
  • High initiative and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Effectively handle stressful situations and deadline pressures
  • Knowledge of project management processes, workflow and terminology
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Minimum (5) years’ Experience in a construction-related role
COMPUTER SKILLS
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, (i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, and other electrical, technical, or construction programs.
  • Familiarity with project management/document control software.
  • Familiarity with construction/financial software packages.
