Job Details

This position is a crucial role with the primary responsibility of preparing the financial statements. In support of producing timely and accurate financials, this role is constantly reviewing the accuracy of accounting transactions and the related sub ledgers. Strong analytical skills are required for comparing financial results to forecasts and tracking organizational KPIs.

Primary Responsibilities

• General ledger and chart of accounts
• Month-end accounting close process
• Preparation and issuance of monthly financial statements
• Policies and procedures
• Assure accurate coding of all revenues, costs, and expenses
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Review and investigate budget variances monthly

Reporting & Analysis

• Support in the preparation of the annual budget and related analysis
• Support in the preparation of the quarterly forecast and related analysis
• Track and report organizational KPIs – financial and operational
• Monthly and ad hoc reporting and analysis

Audits & Taxes

• Assist with financial audits including planning, information flow, and timely closing
• Liaison in working with tax consultants
• Prepares various tax filings, annual reports, and licensing

Education:

• Bachelor degree in business with an accounting or finance major
• Masters preferred
• CPA/CMA or seeking preferred

Experience:

• 2+ years of GAAP accounting or corporate finance experience
• ERP experience
• Tableau or other BI user level experience preferred
• Experience in manufacturing, wholesale, or consumer products preferred
