Job Description

The primary role of the Blending Maintenance Tech II team is to provide effective mechanical maintenance support to plant operations while ensuring safety, meeting operational needs, and complying with safety codes. Responsibilities include routine preventative maintenance tasks, such as replacing components, coordinating with maintenance planners on pasteurizer rebuilds, assisting with pressure tests, and other tasks assigned by the supervisor. Skilled and knowledgeable in mechanical systems, this position supports troubleshooting, process improvements, preventive and predictive maintenance. Additionally, the tech is responsible for notifying management if a workplace becomes too hazardous due to a mechanical problem.nnNight Shift: 7:00PM - 7:30AM - 2-2-3 schedule with rotating weekendsnnWhat You'll Do for UsnnPerform preventive maintenance, cleaning, calibration, and repairs on mechanical systemsnnMaintain mechanical systems in as-new conditionnnDiagnose equipment problems using test results, error messages & info from operatorsnnOperate and test machinery to ensure repairs are adequatennExamine parts for defects and replace malfunctioning componentsnnRecord parts used and maintenance performed; requisition new parts as needednnStudy blueprints and manuals for correct machinery operationnnCommunicate with management and equipment operators about potential hazardsnnEnsure safety and compliance with established rules and protocolsnnPerform duties with minimal supervisionnnSkilled in troubleshooting and using hand/power toolsnnEnsure safe work environments, adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)nnProvide efficient and quality maintenance service to production areas, enabling them to operate at a high level of efficiencynnCollaborate with blending supervision, maintenance associates, parts store, and purchasing personnelnnMonitor contractor performancennSupport Engineering with improvement projectsnnQualifications & RequirementsnnAchieve a passing score on the Maintenance Technician testnnHave 3 years' experience in this role or equivalent vocational and technical trainingnnGood attendance and meet basic plant employment criteriannSelf-supply tools as requirednnMaintenance background in hydraulics, controls, electrical, PLCs, and pneumaticsnnIn-depth knowledge of thermal processes, blending equipment, and related systemsnnAbility to read technical documents, blueprints and schematicsnnAbility to hear machine operations sounds to detect defective parts, machine failures, and changes in speed and other routine running conditionsnnManual and finger dexteritynnMust be able to work flexible shift schedules up to 12-hour shifts as needednnCertification within 90 days post-startnnCapable of lifting 50 pounds and working at heights or in extreme temperaturesnnStrong problem-solving skills; able to work under stress and flexible schedulesnnProficient with computers and software programsnnPerform tasks safely to meet Quality, Service, and Cost goalsnnWhat We Can Do For YounnBenefits: A full benefits package that starts on day one of employment.nnPurpose Driven: Purpose driven approach that empowers our people to protect the environment and communities we serve while delivering safe & quality products.nnCommunity of Belonging: We're an organization that believes our ability to continually grow and build the right atmosphere where people feel safe and empowered, lets you bring your best self to work.nnPay Range:$64,665 - $87,487nnBase pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
