With solutions based on years of expertise, innovation, and advanced analytical capability, we help customers optimize return on cargoes and them resolve difficult technical challenges.nnThe Petroleum Inspector is responsible for performing measurement testing and sampling of petroleum products per clients' specifications.nnWhat You’ll Do:nnUnderstand and adhere to Caleb Brett safety procedures.nnAble to perform by specified methodology the below duties in addition to completing the associated paperwork.nnVolume measurement, temperature measurement and sampling of commodity materials contained or conveyed in lines, shore tanks, cars, tank trucks and barges and ships.nnVisual inspections on lines, pumps, manifolds, shore tanks, rail cars, tank trucks, barges and ships.nnComplete custody transfer surveys of commodities transferred to and from rail cars, tank trucks, shore tanks, barges and ships.nnPerform routine equipment calibrations, verification and function checks.nnVerify and communicate the results obtained and to make the entries into the appropriate media.nnProvide on the job assistance and receive training from more experienced inspectors.nnTo communicate and coordinate with terminal, transport and Company personnel to promote smooth exercise of duties assigned.nnTo monitor the availability of the supplies needed for the above processes, and to make any needs for such supplies known to the Dispatcher or Coordinator.nnTo perform routine equipment calibration, verification and function checks.nnTo organize and coordinate jobs so that services are rendered, and reports and samples are submitted in a timely manner.nnTo maintain work areas, records and equipment in a clean, organized and functional condition.nnTo verify and communicate the results obtained and to make the entries into the appropriate media, whether print or electronic, required to ensure the validity and traceability of the information.nnThis position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.nnMinimum requirements and qualifications:nnMust have basic grasp of basic mathematics and work in an automated environment.nnAbility to work on an on-call basis.nnCannot have a fear of heights.nnAbility to climb ladders and stairs for shore tanks.nn*Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)nnMust have or be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), within 30 days of hirennBe aware of and adhere to safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work.nnAbility to travel as business needs dictate.nnPhysical requirements to include: Lifting, walking, standing, reaching, bending, stooping, climbing, squatting and driving.nnPreferred Requirements & Qualifications:nnExperience with volume measurement, temperature measurement and sampling of commodity materials contained or conveyed in lines, shore tanks, cars, tank trucks and barges and ships.nnExperience with visual inspections on lines, pumps, manifolds, shore tanks, rail cars, tank trucks, barges, and ships.nnExperience with custody transfer surveys of commodities transferred to and from rail cars, tank trucks, Experience with shore tanks, barges, and ships.nnExperience with routine equipment calibrations, verification, and function checks.nnVerify and communicate the results obtained and to make the entries into the appropriate mediannModel Intertek’s 10X Energies always within the workplace, practicing business the right way.nnIFIA certified is a plus!nnPrevious experience working in the petroleum or shipping industrynnPrevious experience working for a petroleum inspection companynnShift/Schedule: Varying shifts including on call , evening, weekend and holiday hoursnnSalary & Benefits InformationnnThe base wage or salary range for this position is $22.00 to $ 30.00 per hour, depending on experience.
