Job Description:
n
n - The quality inspector - Mechanical, shall travel to various supplier facilities to perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies.
n - Parts will be inspected to engineering drawings, customer purchase order(s), industry standards, and specifications.
n - The inspector will be required to report inspection accept / reject information directly to the customer via web application.

Requirements:
n
n - Candidate must have 3 years practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on complex machined parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies.
n - The inspections will be performed to engineering requirements specified per ANSI Y14.5 – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) or equivalent standard.
n - Must have the ability to read / interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs).
n - The candidate must have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, thread gauges height gauges, CMM, and hardness testers.
n - Experience/Working Knowledge, Preferred: n
n - MIL-DTL-6645 - DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE DETAIL SPECIFICATION, PARACHUTES, PERSONNEL, GENERAL SPECIFICATION
n - MIL_STD-849 - Inspection Requirements, Definitions And Classification Of Defects For Parachutes
n - MIL-DTL-4088 - MILITARY SPECIFICATION: WEBBING, TEXTILE, WOVEN NYLON
n - ASTM D6193 - Standard Practice for Stitches and Seams
n
n - Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standard and knowledge is required.
n - Ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years experience performing inspections in aerospace or military / defense manufacturing with proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.
n - Candidate should be computer savvy and own a laptop for this assignment.
n - Will be working as an independent contractor (1099).
n - Must have LLC/DBA or able to obtain an LLC/DBA
n - Must be a U.S. Citizen
