Position Overview:
We are currently seeking dedicated and empathetic Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our network of healthcare professionals. As a CNA contracted through Alto Health Care Staffing, you will have the opportunity to work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and more. This flexible role offers the freedom to choose your assignments based on your availability and preferences.
Responsibilities:
Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Take and record patients' vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
Assist with mobility and ambulation, including transferring patients from bed to wheelchair or vice versa.
Help patients with eating and drinking, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting a positive and comforting environment.
Assist with the maintenance of a clean and safe patient care environment, including changing bed linens and tidying up patient rooms.
Report any changes in patients' condition or behavior to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
Document care provided and observations made in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program.
Current and valid CNA certification in the state(s) of practice.
Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a healthcare setting preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or additional certifications may be required depending on assignment requirements.
Compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with a genuine desire to help others.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
