Boyd, Richards, Parker, Colonnelli, a civil litigation law firm, is seeking an experienced and motivated attorney for its New York office. Strong interest in attorneys with litigation experience defending negligence/personal injury/property damage claims. The candidate must be admitted to practice in New York (New Jersey a plus), possess strong writing skills and be comfortable litigating cases from inception through trial, appearing in court, handling depositions and working in a team-oriented environment.
The salary range for this position is $145,000 - $225,000 and the actual compensation will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities:
· Managing case load from inception to post-trial
· Attending court conferences, oral arguments, depositions, mediations, and trials
· Preparing pleadings, discovery, discovery responses, motions, and other litigation documents
· Preparing timely reports regarding case status and ongoing activities
· Ability to prioritize work-load based on deadlines
· Communicating effectively with clients, senior attorneys and paralegals
· Meeting billing requirements
· Completing tasks as assigned in a timely manner
Required Skills:
· Trial experience a plus
· Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
· Ability to interact with attorneys, paralegals, court personnel, opposing counsel, clients, and office staff in a professional manner
· Ability to delegate and prioritize as necessary
· Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
· Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
· Knowledge of ProLaw,iTimekeep and NetDocs a plus
Required Qualifications:
Member in Good Standing of the New York bar, admission to the federal District Courts a plus
