A client in the Redmond, WA area is looking for an Attorney to join the immigration team. This person will work on employment based US immigration, and will support high volume US business immigration operations including petition review, I-9s, email response support and the assurance of legal compliance in the context of daily filings.
The team is searching for an Attorney who will use US immigration legal knowledge to ensure daily work flow targets are completed while maintaining the integrity of the on-site case preparation program. Job duties are as follows:
- Train admins on USCIS filings, document processing, and PERM job postings, while assisting with daily admin questions and review work product to ensure legal accuracy and quality.
- Assist with the root cause analysis and resolution for legal and operational issues
- Identify and propose legal process improvement ideas to increase legal quality, improve employee experience, streamline workflows and build operational resiliency.
- Address legal questions that arise related to I-9 completion and E-Verify
- Support complex E-Verify issue resolution
- Train and monitor admins who support I-9 reverification
- Assist managers with understanding PERM requirements and obligations during applicant review
- Respond to emails from via dependent employees on topics such as visa and green card eligibility, travel and maintenance of status.
Must Haves:
- Minimum one year of experience related to immigration
- JD and admission to the bar degree
Nice to Haves:
- Immigration experience as related to business, although family will work as well
- High volume processing experience
