Intellectual Property Litigation Partner - Trademark/Copyright - Chicago or DC

Our client is a top Am law firm, seeking a partner-level litigator for its Intellectual Property practice in Chicago or Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IP litigation experience involving trademark, copyright, false advertising, and unfair competition matters in the U.S. District Court and before the TTAB.
• Experience managing trademark and copyright litigation cases from inception through resolution.
• Experience representing clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
• Prosecuting and defending oppositions and cancellation before the TTAB.
• Licensing and other contractual disputes experience is also preferred.
• Experience handling matters in a wide range of industries, including but not limited to automotive, consumer products, internet technology, and social media.
• Ability to mentor and supervise junior attorneys.
• Portable business is preferred but not required ; however, an aptitude and/or desire to develop business is required.
• Outstanding interpersonal, analytical, communication, and client-interfacing skills.
• J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited institution.
• Bar admission in Illinois, District of Columbia, or Michigan - or ability to become admitted in any one of these jurisdictions.
