Amylu is currently in the process of rapid growth and are expanding our offerings to include delicious new product lines made with Organic and Antibiotic free meats, fresh vegetables, natural cheeses, and creative spice blends.


We are looking for a qualified Administrative – Purchasing professional to join our team and help us achieve our goals. This role will occupy a pivotal desk in our procurement team. The Purchasing Associate will serve as a point of contact for our vendors from the initial order to the arrival of the product to our facility. This role will assist the team to determine what modifications need to be made to our production scheduling when deviations occur and then work with our production team to troubleshoot said modifications. Our ideal candidate will be goal oriented, a self-starter, have the ability to adapt in fast paced work environment, and will have strong knowledge of customer service best practices. Responsibilities for the Purchasing Associate include:


  • Sending and processing purchase orders online, via phone or email
  • Coordinating and interfacing with Purchasing, Production and Research/Development teams
  • Serve as a point of contact for our internally across departments and externally with vendors and suppliers
  • Report any deviations and help determine what modifications need to be made to our production scheduling
  • Keep up to date on product and supply trends and reporting to the team (Will be eyes and ears for the team)
  • Assist in procuring new supplies and products
  • Tracking commodity markets and vendor performance metrics


Note: This is a Full-time 100% On-site Position with early morning start time


Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or 3-5 years equivalent to working in an inside procurement and/or administrative role within a CPG, wholesale, or production environment.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be detail oriented and customer focused
  • Must be able to communicate and coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders both intern and external
  • Exemplary planning time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily workload
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word is a must
  • Self-Starter is a plus
  • Ability to quickly adapt is a must


Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Must be able to work in a cold environment when needed
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Temperature: The production floor is maintained at approximately 40 F.; in other areas, the temperature level is moderate. Freezer areas are zero degrees or colder.
  • Noise: When the incumbent goes on to the production floor, ear protection is required; in other areas, noise level is moderate.
