Role Basics - Supplier Development/Supply Chain Manager

• Direct-Hire Position | Onsite - 30 minutes North of Detroit
• 25% Travel to Facility in the South Central Region of the US
• $140-$160K Base, Bonus Structure, comprehensive benefits, 401K with 6% match, generous PTO, and paid holidays

We're looking for an industry leader to oversee the identification and management of suppliers and supplier relationships and partner with Procurement leadership to ensure close alignment with relevant stakeholders and the parent companies. You'll bring extensive DoD Manufacturing industry knowledge to our team (combat vehicles preferred) and oversee/manage the following:

• Supplier Qualification and Certification: Identify and evaluate suppliers, assess their capacity to deliver parts/materials on time and according to specs, evaluate/document supplier QA systems, and oversee completion of PPAP, FAI, etc.
• Supplier Performance/Management: Develop/monitor supplier performance, address supplier issues, and maintain strong supplier relationships to identify/solve potential problems quickly and efficiently
• Procurement/Forecasting: Partner with the procurement team to purchase components/materials, schedule component/materials milestones for new business, and communicate production expectations clearly with suppliers

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree
• 10+ years of relevant engineering and supply chain management/supplier development experience
• 5-10+ years of recent experience with US DoD manufacturing processes and procedures, ideally for vehicle development and procurement
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering and vehicle principles
• Multi-national, multi-organizational, and corporate environments
• Bid capture, contract negotiations, and delivery planning
• Ability to obtain US Defense clearance
