They’re looking for a detail-oriented and dependable individual to join the team as a Purchasing Assistant handling essential purchasing and administrative tasks to support our business operations.
This is an on-site position in Anderson.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchasing:
- Manage procurement of materials, supplies, and services needed for production.
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality.
- Maintain inventory records and monitor stock levels, placing orders when necessary.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliable supply chains.
Finance/Bookkeeping:
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
- Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow management.
Operations Support:
- Collaborate with production staff to ensure purchasing aligns with project timelines and material requirements.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining records, filing, and updating databases.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in purchasing, bookkeeping, or related fields (3+ years preferred).
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality.
