We are a precision machining facility specializing in CNC, Swiss, and Screw machining. Committed to delivering top-quality products, we are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead our Inspection Department. This role is ideal for a seasoned quality management professional with at least ten years of experience and a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Position Summary :
The Quality Manager will oversee the Inspection Department, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards and optimizing quality control processes across CNC, Swiss, and Screw machining operations. The role involves managing a team of inspectors, leading quality systems, and implementing process improvements to maintain and elevate product standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead, mentor, and develop the inspection team to uphold a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Establish and manage quality control processes and systems, ensuring strict compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and company policies.
- Supervise inspection activities across all machining operations, including First Article Inspection, in-process, and final product inspections.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, maintenance) to resolve quality-related issues and enhance product standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformities.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including Work Instructions, and quality manuals.
- Lead internal and external audits to ensure compliance with ISO and other required quality standards.
- Track and analyze quality performance metrics, driving initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, and other quality-related costs.
- Manage supplier quality, ensuring that incoming materials meet quality standards and support supplier improvement efforts.
- Apply and oversee statistical process control and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications: :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management, ideally within CNC, Swiss, and Screw machining environments.
- Proficiency in quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Advanced skills in root cause analysis, CAPA, and other quality tools and methodologies.
- Proven leadership abilities with a track record of team development and success in managing inspection teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in statistical process control and other process improvement techniques.
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience driving quality initiatives across departments.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of precision machining and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent certification.
