Locum - Abingdon, Virginia, Urologist OpeningClinical Role:

    • Reason for coverage: Looking for Back up option
    • Coverage Dates: Will be back up option. No set amount of dates needed at the moment
    • Shift Schedule: Monday-Sunday 24hr call(Assigned and unassigned patients.), inpatient call, surgery as needed, Supervise 2 NPs (meaning available by phone and able to go to clinic, which is on site, to assist/discuss if needed) and Saturday-Sunday - 24 hour inpatient call coverage back up
    • Type of Patients/Cases/Procedures: Bladder cancer, Erectile dysfunction, Incontinence, Kidney stones, Overactive bladder, Testicular cancer, Urologic infections, and stones. Cystoscopy, prostate procedures, ureteroscopy, lithotripsy
    • Beds in Facility: 116
    • Patients per day/Volume: 6 in hospital
    • EMR: EPIC
    • Support Staff: There are 2 full-time NPs. The locum may need to report to the clinic, if needed, for either NP assistance and/or patient follow up if the NP is unable to complete due to complexity. clinic registration and nurse
    • Board Eligible or Board Certified: Truly Board eligible or board certified only
    • Looking for someone who is ok with being a backup option for 24hr call coverage. They had a provider leave and believe they have dates covered however would feel comfortable having a backup option if their current locum is unable to pick up extra days that could possibly arise
    • Schedule: 24 hour inpatient call coverage - back up option
    • Job Setting: Inpatient
    • COVID not required
    • Active VA License - Required
