Title: Litigation Attorney (CA License Required)

Salary: $120,000 – $170,000+ (DOE)

Ostaff is looking for a remote Litigation Attorney for a great client based in the Los Angeles area.

This is a fully remote direct hire position and requires an active CA license. The ideal candidate will have depositions/litigation experience.

Key Responsibilities :

• Case Management: Handle all phases of litigation, including investigation, pleadings, discovery, pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal processes.
• Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Drafting Legal Documents: Prepare and draft various legal documents, such as motions, briefs, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
• Client Representation: Represent clients in court and at mediation or arbitration hearings.
• Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, providing legal advice and updates on case progress.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient and effective case management.
• Negotiation: Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel to reach favorable settlements for clients.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Bar Admission: Must be a member in good standing of the California State Bar
• Experience: 3-8+ years of litigation experience, with a strong background in legal research and case management.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficient in legal research tools and software.
• Attributes: Detail-oriented, highly organized, able to work independently and as part of a team, and able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
