Description: Position Summary: Manages all aspects of receiving product to ensure quality, temperature control, processing of invoices, and storage of product in accordance with HACCP program.
Responsibilities: - Oversees all in coming product to ensure quality standards and accuracy of orders received.
- Inspects product upon arrival to confirm quality and temperature control.
- Oversees and maintains proper storage of product in accordance with the HACCP program.
- Manages all invoices and packing slips to include ensuring that invoices are processed by office personnel.
- Maintains food rotation practices and alerts Receiving Supervisor of upcoming product expiration dates.
- Ensures all products are properly scanned (cashiered) before it's released to production.
- Support production supervisor and other duties as directed by Management.
- Ensures all products are thawed/staged properly based on required quantity, shelf life and storage requirements
- Ability to work independently.
- Provides coverage by assisting with suggested order quantities when necessary.
- Directs and ensures accurate inventory cycle counts.
Working Relationships: Communicates daily with management team.
Requirements: Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education: Associates degree or above.
Minimum Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a food service environment. Experience in forklift operation - certification required.
Preferred Experience: 2-5 years of experience managing inventory in a high volume food manufacturing/production environment. Knowledge of food safety requirements. Experience in forklift operation - certification required
Licenses/Certifications: Fork Lift Certification
Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact with all levels of employees & management within the organization and external contacts. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
Other: Travel None Hours & Conditions: Must be available to work Monday through Friday between 4:00am and 6:00 pm to include Saturday/Sunday work as needed.
