Description Purpose/Scope: - To transport live birds in cages from a flat bed trailer to the back dock dump system, and empty cages back onto flat bed trailer with a forklift.
- Help in live hang area as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Unload and transport cages of live birds from flat bed trailer to dump system on back dock.
- Position cages on back dock dump system and trailers correctly.
- Transport empty cages back to flat bed trailer from the dump system on back dock.
- Coordinates with Cage Dump Operator.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Use required PPE and follow all safety guidelines of the Company.
Qualifications: (Required/Desired) Skills & knowledge needed for the effective performance of essential job functions: Qualified to operate a forklift.
- Qualified to operate forklift
- Able to work at a consistent steady pace
- Good hand and eye coordination
Physical requirements: - Stand duration of shift - all scheduled hours.
- Workable use of both hands and able to grasp.
- Good eye sight (with or without corrective lens).
- Able to perform repetitive tasks.
- Able to reach, bend, push, pull, and stoup.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs. repeatedly.
Environmental conditions: - Warm to hot temperatures, wet, dirty, and dusty environment.
- Moderate to loud sound levels.
