Due to continuing growth in our Rail/Transit practice, we are seeking a Project Director, Rail and Transit Infrastructure . This position will be integral in the development and growth of GHD's Transit/Rail practice. Responsibilities:
Leading multi-disciplinary teams for preliminary and detail design for linear infrastructure projects and programs as a Project Manager or Project Director.
Taking ownership for all aspects of the management of projects from proposal to close-out, including managing teams, sub-consultants, budgets, schedule, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Interfaces with GHD Design and design team (potentially located internationally).
Accountable to contractor questions, reviews shop drawings and attends sites during construction as required.
Prepare, track and administer project budgets.
Liases with clients, participates in business development and promotional activities for the company.
What You will bring to the team:
Registered P. Eng in Ontario.
Be accredited with PMP certification (or working towards).
Experience working for Regional Municipalities or Local Transit Agencies.
15+ years of project management experience on multi-discipline engineering teams with experience in Bus Rapid Transit and/or Light Rail Transit Projects.
Project Delivery in an alternate project delivery (P3, DB, PDB), and experience in managing teaming arrangements with contractors and consultants.
Experience a project through alliance delivery model is highly desirable.
