Practice Details:
The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital seeks a skilled surgeon to join our team.
As the region's primary provider of comprehensive plastic, reconstructive, and hand surgery services, we offer a unique opportunity to join an established practice. You’ll engage with a diverse and loyal patient base, all with the support of our skilled, compassionate team across both office and hospital settings.
Your practice will encompass a wide range of reconstructive procedures. Hand and wrist surgery will address symptoms of pain, numbness, and decreased function in the upper limb. Our specialty peripheral nerve surgery program will utilize your skills to treat pain or numbness in both upper and lower limbs, where nerves are compressed or injured outside of the spinal cord. You'll strive to restore normal appearance and function after events like trauma, burns, infection, cancer, disease, or birth defects.
You'll work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals to deliver quality care for both adults and children. Our practice collaborates closely with skilled therapists at Black Bird Physiotherapy in Nelson for patient rehabilitation. You'll also have the opportunity to extend your expertise to surrounding communities through regular outreach services.
You’ll have the opportunity for academic affiliation and the chance to teach medical students and residents through the UBC Okanagan Medical Program, allowing you to engage in education while advancing your professional development.
