Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license or a current multistate compact license and possess an associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
Additional requirements include
- One (1) year experience in a behavioral health care setting preferred.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtained within three months from date of hire.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
- Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Department/Unit Summary
Adult psych unit age 18 and up 22 beds-have an additional 8 beds as an overflow unit Geri psych unit age 55 and over.
Adult ratio is Gero ration is 2:7.
Staffed with 1 professional and 1 tech or 2 professionals depending on the skill mix available.
Adult is 2:8 we get a 3rd staff member at 9 patients.
