OverviewM Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to join our team at the Bloomington Oxboro Dermatology Clinic located in Bloomington, MN. Join M Health Fairview, the largest healthcare system in the state! The M Health Fairview Bloomington Oxboro Dermatology Clinic is a growing and collaborative clinic. Our clinic is open Monday - Friday 7AM - 5PM, so no evenings, weekends, or holidays! This provides an excellent work life balance!This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two week pay period), benefits-eligible opening. Responsibilities Job DescriptionAs a member of the patients care team, a Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families. The Medical Assistant will collect information and detail the patient's visit. MA's are responsible for adhering to policies, procedures and practice guidelines; promoting communication with all members of the team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.Medical Assistants deliver care as delegated by the patients Physicians, or RN. They are able to prioritize work based on need, available resources, patient preferences, provider schedule, and work in collaboration with the physician/authorized practitioner as well as other health care team members.
