We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Estate Planning Manager to lead the development and oversight of our estate planning offering. This role is responsible for creating, implementing and managing an estate planning program as part of our comprehensive wealth management services. This role will focus on providing clients with tailored estate planning solutions while working closely with our wealth and tax advisors to ensure seamless integration with our clients' broader financial goals. Our ideal candidate would be located in or around Leawood, KS, hold a JD (Juris Doctorate) degree, and have prior experience in Estate planning.
What you will do: - Develop and launch the estate planning department, including service offerings, client onboarding processes and internal workflows.
- Facilitate estate planning advice to individuals and families, including strategies for wealth transfer, charitable giving and asset protection.
- Work closely with wealth managers, legal professionals and tax advisors to create integrated estate plans that align with clients' overall financial strategies.
- Ensure that all estate planning services comply with legal, tax and financial regulations, and keep up to date with evolving legislation.
- Cultivate strong client relationships through regular communication, reviews of estate plans and proactive updates.
- Provide ongoing training and support to wealth managers and staff on estate planning concepts and strategies, enabling them to identify opportunities for client engagement.
- Drive revenue generation by promoting estate planning services to existing and prospective clients, and identifying cross-selling opportunities within the wealth management practice.
- Report to senior leadership on key performance indicators, adoption rates and client satisfaction.
What you need to have: - JD (Juris Doctorate) degree required
- Minimum of 5 years of estate planning experience and 2 years in a leadership role
- Deep knowledge of estate planning, tax strategies, trusts, charitable planning and asset protection
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused mindset
- Successful track record of building solutions from the ground up
- Proficiency in estate planning software and financial management tools
- Strong understanding of the wealth management industry and regulatory environment
Compensation: The base annual salary range for this role is $115,000 - $130,000 plus a competitive performance-based bonus. Base annual salary depends on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Base annual salary may also differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
