Summary/Objective

This position is primarily responsible for the movement of finished materials through the various phases of production.

Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. Observance of all safety rules and policies maintained by the company;
  2. Maintenance of raw material inventory (frame parts, I - beam, etc.), including unloading of delivery vehicles and restock material when needed.
  3. Movement of raw material through the production area.
  4. Movement of chassis from production area to chassis holding area and / or coating area, and drying area; Move and hang parts onto E-Coat line. Unload parts off the line and move to designated area.
  5. Movement of product to the repair bay area as needed;
  6. Coordination of necessary paperwork at the time of material receipt;
  7. Maintenance of the exterior yard including plowing, grading, etc.;
  8. Rotation of position into production team structure as necessary;
  9. Clean and maintain equipment in accordance with shift startup and shutdown procedures including completion of daily forklift inspections;

  3. Must be able to read and process written communication including, but not limited to, work orders, delivery receipts, prints, and measurements;
  4. Must be able to meet production goals and time deadlines;
  5. Must be able to work with minimum supervision;
  6. Must be able to operate various Lift Trucks as needed.
  7. Must be able to operate appropriate equipment including radios, stabilization devices, tape measures, scanners, etc.;
  8. Must be highly organized;
  9. Must possess successful problem-solving skills;
  10. Must be able to exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, customers, etc.;
  11. Must be able to work under physically and mentally stressful situations;
  12. Must be able to deal with climate extremes (temperature, precipitation, etc.);
  13. Must be able to prioritize and easily adapt to changes through the day;
  14. Must be able to read and understand daily schedules;
  15. Must easily adapt to changes through the day.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires Personal Protective Equipment. Protective Equipment supplied by the company includes: Coating suit, Coating Boots, Spray Socks, Respirator, Work Gloves, Safety Glasses and Ear Plugs. Employees may be required to provide additional Protective Equipment (Safety Shoes, etc.).

This is a full-time position.

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  2. Basic computer knowledge.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Lift Truck Operators License preferred (training available).

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
