We are seeking a Planning Manager - Supply Chain for a very important client
Description:
As Planning Manager, you develop and create the strategy for efficient and effectively manufacturing and on-time delivery of products that consistently meet customer requirements This includes ensuring timely and accurate response to customer's orders by providing the required information, schedules, materials, and accurate systems to the manufacturing unit You are responsible for the integration of sales forecasts, budgeting in-process, and finished goods inventory This is an experienced level position requiring a thorough knowledge of supply chain, operations, sales environment, and cost structures.
This is on site role and will report to the Manager of Supply Chain.
Key Responsibilities
•Manage planning team with support of their business goals Mentor team development and opportunities for their growth.
•Manage communication with the PPG customer service team on critical customer requirements.
•Ensure planning team is meeting PPG service goals for our "Make to Order" and "Make to Stock" customers.
•Develop continuous improvement projects for finished goods and intermediate days of inventory reduction to meet working capital goals.
•Preparation of monthly rough cut capacity review for next 12-month period Identify issues and support PPG team to resolve and avoid customer service or working capital issues.
•Ensure planning team issues weekly frozen schedule to operations team that meets the "Production Sign Off" and customer needs.
•Attend daily production floor operations meetings with plant supervisors, engineers, and planners.
•Support Plan Ex team on managing and maintaining system setting and supply chain processes.
•Collaborate with demand planning team and raw material team for opportunities and to resolve issues.
•Lead and develop opportunities with planning team to reduce the risk of obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
Requirement:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
•5+ years' experience in Supply Chain or Operations in a manufacturing environment (Must have some manufacturing experience)
•2+ years' experience in managing a team
•Bachelor's degree
Preferred:
•APICS certification CPIM or CSCP
•SAP and/or Oracle ERP experience
