Duties And Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Multi-Skilled Repairman’s responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following: Troubleshoots, operates, repairs, adjusts, and maintains all related equipment, mechanical and electrical, involved with running production. Develops standard operating procedures. Provides training for equipment operation. Lubricates and cleans parts, installs, sets up and operates all types of equipment and machine tools. Performs any dismantling, fitting or assembly work required for maintenance. Practices and reinforces all safety practices and procedures. Participates on safety and KATA improvement teams. Perform other work which may be assigned by Supervisor. Keeps work area safe, clean, and organized. May be required to work in various departments and to perform other duties as required or assigned. Qualifications: In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following: Minimum Requirements Previous working experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment. Proven work experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and working with tools and machinery. Safety-oriented. Must be able to work 8-12 hour rotating shifts. Must be able to work 12-hour shifts and/or overtime as needed. Mechanical and electrical experience. Preferred Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Electrical knowledge/troubleshooting skills. Electronic experience as well as PLC and VFD experience. Ability to read blueprints, sketches, machine parts or specifications to determine type and dimensions of stock required. Experience with safety guards, limit switches, lock-out/tag-out, proper use of hand and power tools, confined space and hot work permits. Welding experience. Air compressor maintenance experience. Forklift operation experience. Competencies Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently or with a team. Problem-solving skills.
