Position Details:
Job Title: Hematology Oncology Physician
- Location: Hartford, CT
- Providers Needed: 1
- Shift Type: Days
- Estimated Shifts: 3 clinic days (M-F) 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, with some weekends and night call (infrequent)
- Weekend Requirements: 2-3 weekends per year
- On Call Requirements: Night call (1:10 ratio)
Practice Setting:
- Setting: Inpatient consults and outpatient clinic
- Patient Demographics: Adults and Geriatric (80% Hematology, 20% Oncology)
- Team Size: 10 physicians, 8 APPs
- Hospital Info: Level I Trauma
- EMR: Epic
Daily Workload:
- Hospital: 10 patients per day (PPD)
- Outpatient Clinic: 15 patients per day (PPD)
- Procedures: Focus on Hematology, minimal Oncology
Credentialing:
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 130 days from offer acceptance
Required Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
- Connecticut State License (Required; IMLC not accepted)
