John Deere-1 year W2 contract role.
This is a hybrid position: 4 days onsite/ 1 day remote each week. The hours are 7:30-4:30
Skill Set Requirements:
- Must be able to learn/understand Power BI and Excel, and have a willingness to learn new tools as needed
- Must understand project management fundamentals and planning processes
- Must be able to help identify and address repeat, on-going issues to reduce administration and improve results
- Must be organized
- Must have strong communication skills
There are 2 main parts to this position: Military Outreach Coordinator and Workforce Development/Community Giving Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
MILITARY OUTREACH COORDINATOR –Facilitate and coordinate the company side military outreach program and hiring process
- Track candidate status in Share Point tracking table
- Provide monthly updates on military hiring programs
- Confirm and improve key steps in military hiring process
- Provide updates to the team on a QRTLY basis
- Manage relationships with key military VSO partners
- Coordinate military career fair support for these organizations
WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT COMMUNITY GIVING COORDINATOR
- Track youth apprentice program participation and results
o Organize data using a SP table integration
o Provide annual updates using Power BI
o Assist in coordinating outreach efforts when needed
- Support FIRST Grant Application Process
o Initial grant review with assignment by community
o Follow-up with JD reviewers to ensure timely completion
o Develop and distribute reports showing status and results
- Coordinate FIRST Mentor assignments
o Work with Inspire Site coordinators and FIRST community grant reviewers to document and streamline over time, a process for matching John Deere mentors with FIRST teams
o Develop and distribute reports showing status and results
- Inspire Program Support
o Help with the planning of large meetings including quarterly global Inspire support team, Inspire Executive Council, annual Inspire – CSR Conference, and FIRST World Championship.
o Monitor and respond to shared inbox addressing repeat questions.
o Oversee updates needed with Inspire support team members that change roles.
- Be a subject matter expert and resource for John Deere’s employee giving programs; be able to assist in answering employee questions/issues, support site maintenance, create aids and tutorials, and be able to pull data for unit support and engagement.
- Support communications and training for John Deere social responsibility ambassadors.
- Assist in PO requests for Community Relations budget.
- Support ambassadors with unit volunteer events.
- Provide support for events as needed. (Example: John Deere Classic event)
