Job Description

Working with a large food/beverage manufacturer in the Lee, FL area seeking a Production Supervisor over their night shift operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading teams, optimizing production processes, and ensuring quality standards are met. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 12 hour rotating night shift schedule (5p-5a).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:
  • Oversee and manage a team of production associates, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Motivate and inspire the team to achieve production goals and maintain high morale.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Production Planning and Scheduling:
  • Develop and implement efficient production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.
  • Monitor production progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production activities and resolve issues.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Enforce strict quality control standards and procedures.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections to identify and address any defects or deviations.
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent quality issues from recurring.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to streamline operations.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for optimization.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Prioritize safety by enforcing safety regulations and conducting regular safety training.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Investigate and report any accidents or near-miss incidents.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
  • Oversee the maintenance and calibration of production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Work with maintenance technicians to schedule and execute preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Problem-Solving:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly and effectively.
  • Analyze root causes of problems and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in production planning and scheduling.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, including ERP systems and production management tools.
