Essential Functions Statement(s)
All Material Handlers
- Operates a lift truck by driving backward and twisting to be able to look in the direction of travel continually.
- Operates a lift truck on all shifts.
- Performs routine inspections on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning or recharging batteries, and refers defects or repairs to supervisor/maintenance.
- Moves controls to drive battery-powered lift trucks and transport materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas.
- Moves levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
- Positions lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secures material or products for transport to designated areas.
- Manually loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
- Reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
- Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.

Unloader - - Unloads products from inbound carriers.
- Verifies that the product received is identified and counted accurately.
- Inspects the condition of all received products.
- Moves and places products safely and securely in their proper storage location.
Preloader - - Receives and reads preload orders.
- Fills orders by accurately picking products from storage and staging that product on the spot utilizing stacking guidelines.
- Inspects and loads trucks and arranges the products within the cube of the trailer according to recommended loading practices and guidelines.
- Uses scanning devices and computers as needed to perform tasks.
Truck Loaders - - Inspects trailers before loading products.
- Counts units on preload spot and compares with shipping documents.
- Moves products from the preload spot, and directly from storage when required, into the trailer.
- Arrange the products within the cube of the trailer according to recommended loading practices and guidelines.
- Properly secures the load for travel.

SKILLS & ABILITIES - Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
- Experience: Two (2) years related experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer or tablet skills; hand-held radio.
- Certificates & Licenses: Forklift Certification preferred. Valid Driver's License.
