The Job:
As a Heavy Duty Technician, you will:
Safely operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain company-owned heavy-duty diesel and alternative fuel trucks and equipment.
Ensure the safe operation of rolling stock to support waste removal and environmental services provided by our drivers.
Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair operational difficulties, and complete administrative duties.
Plan and schedule repairs, review mechanical write-ups, and assist in coordinating repair schedules.
Respond to service calls and emergent situations in the field.
What’s Required:
Heavy Duty Technicians should:
Have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a diesel mechanic.
Be computer literate, trainable on software systems, and willing to learn.
Meet safety-sensitive function criteria according to company standards.
Have the ability to use diagnostic software (a plus).
Follow detailed instructions, work independently, and maintain accurate records.
Operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform the job.
Possess the physical ability to perform all aspects of the job.
