Our client is currently seeking a Terminal Manager to join their team in Bathurst, NB.

The Terminal Manager will oversee all operational areas to ensure efficiency, on-time delivery, and adherence to safety standards. This role involves driving terminal performance through hands-on leadership and strategic planning, while also fostering employee engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other departments and terminals to optimize equipment and freight movement, maximizing usage while minimizing costs.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring that performance, quality, and service standards are met. This includes monitoring dock cleanliness, ensuring timely deliveries, and reviewing equipment needs to meet customer demands.
- Manage employee relationships and performance within the terminal, creating an environment of trust, open communication, and accountability.
- Prepare reports on key metrics such as performance, freight damage, accidents, customer interactions, and employee performance to support decision-making.
- Work with senior management and dispatch to forecast equipment and staffing needs based on customer demand and operational volumes.
- Ensure compliance with safety, training, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

- Fast-paced terminal/office environment.
- Flexibility to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- High volume of communication via email and phone.
Qualifications
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the transportation and logistics industry, or a related field, with relevant education such as CITT Supply Chain and Logistics Certification, or equivalent.
- At least two (2) years in a terminal supervisor role.
- Knowledge of the road transportation industry, particularly Atlantic Canadian geography and travel times, is considered an asset.
