I'm looking for a temporary assistant controller for my client, a law firm in the heart of downtown Montreal. This is a temporary 3-month position in hybrid or 100% remote mode.
Responsibilities:
? Collaborate on the production of financial statements. For example:
? Prepare and enter accounting entries;
? Reconcile accounts;
? Balance sheet analysis
? Account analysis
? Fixed assets
? Month-end closing
? Regularization entries
? Cost analysis
? Comparative analysis
? Participate in year-end closing process
? Participate in the budget process;
? Carry out any other related tasks linked to his/her field of expertise.
? Bachelor's degree in accounting, or equivalent professional experience;
? Minimum of 3 years practical experience in accounting cycle management, budget management and management accounting;
? Good knowledge of ERP software, particularly Excel and Elite;
? Fluency in French and English: collaboration with English-speaking partners.
? Inborn sense of responsibility, commitment and professionalism;
? Autonomy and good judgment;
? Thoroughness and attention to detail.
