Job Description
The Respiratory Therapist assesses treats and cares for the residents with breathing disorders. The therapist assumes the responsibility for all respiratory care modalities, initiates and conducts therapeutic procedures; maintains patient records; and selects, assembles, checks, and operates equipment. Join us with an attractive benefits offering: Competitive pay Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401K with matching funds Life Insurance Employee discounts Tuition Reimbursement Student Loan Reimbursement Responsibilities: Initiates, monitors and maintains life support systems Ensures staff compliance with facility and regulatory agencies guidelines Monitors outcomes of various respiratory care procedures Establishes and maintains respiratory equipment par-level and required maintenance records Troubleshoots equipment malfunction Conducts quality assurance audits Conducts quality control monitoring Aides in the development and implementation of quality improvement programs Performs random resident care compliance audits Participates in on-going educational programs to enhance clinical competency for self and staff Provides routine clinical care including non-invasive ventilator checks, tracheostomy care, suctioning, resident evaluations, care plan development, respiratory medication delivery, supply changes and equipment management.
