A Line Service Technician (LST) provides customer service for general aviation aircraft, crews, and passengers. They operate ground service equipment and follow company policies for efficient and excellent service.
- Work as part of a team for safe and efficient aircraft services with a welcoming atmosphere
- Collaborate with coworkers, customers, vendors, and crewmembers for efficient communication and task accomplishment
- Service aircraft with fueling, de-icing, lavatory, and ground power services
- Operate ground service equipment like fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, and stair trucks
- Offer and deliver general aviation services to customers and crewmembers
- Maintain safe, clean, and secure ramps and operations
- Drive shuttle vehicles with passengers and/or luggage and cargo
- Load and unload luggage and cargo into/out of aircraft and from/into the FBO or other location
- Fuel handling including fuel quality control, receipt, inventory, and maintaining accurate documentation
- Provide professional and friendly customer service with a positive and helpful attitude
- Understand and comply with operational, safety, and customer service requirements
- Understand and comply with security protocols as dictated by the airport and Signature
- Create accurate records for time worked and activities performed
- Abide by emergency response procedures
- Recommend improvements to Signature's standards and procedures
- Other duties as requested
To qualify, applicants must have:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- A valid state driver's license, with some locations requiring a CDL
- Ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and airport security badge issuance
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment
- Ability to successfully complete Signature's training programs
- Ability to pass a color vision test for fuel inspection
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, holidays, and weekends
- Preferred: Three to six months experience in aviation, customer service, or related fields

- Excellent vision and coordination to move and direct aircraft and inspect fuel

- Physically enter and exit motor vehicles and operate ground support equipment
- Safely perform functions like fueling and de-icing from elevated heights
- Ability to read, understand, and follow company policies, safety procedures, and relevant laws
- Work well as part of a team and follow lawful directions and instructions
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle stressful situations with poise and professionalism
- Independently prepare for arriving/departing aircraft and identify open job tasks
