Job Summary: As a talented design-oriented Project Engineer you will work on multi-disciplinary projects in many industrial markets experiencing rapid change. You work on powder and bulk solids handling projects from inception of a technical concept through solution delivery to the client. You will work at times individually or as part of a team, to produce feasibility studies, conceptual designs as well as functional designs, evaluate client processes, and oversee bulk material laboratory and pilot scale tests. Periodic site visits to clients manufacturing or R&D facilities will be required to witness actual powder or solids processing, storage, or conveying. Duties & Responsibilities: Develop engineering solutions for client technical challenges Coordinate laboratory and pilot scale testing with powders and bulk solids Research solution approaches involving equipment configuration or process modifications Perform basic calculations for flow, transport, as well as analyses using propriety modeling technologies Communicate and present solutions to colleagues and clients Required Skills & Abilities: Excellent design and problem-solving skills Masterful written and verbal skills to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues Basic CAD package familiarity, such as with AutoCAD or SolidWorks Ability to travel on a periodic basis to meet with clients, both in the US and abroad Team player with strong collaborative behaviors Ability to use Web-based meeting software, e.g., GoTo Meeting, Google Meet, MS Teams Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion Ability to work either independently or as part of a team; adapting effectively when priorities change in response to business needs Education & Experience: Bachelor ‘s of Science in Mechanical Engineering, with preference for Master’s Degree. Geotechnical Engineering a plus. Three to five years of full time industry experience Other Requirements: Days of work are Monday through Friday, with hybrid three days in the office after successful completion of on-boarding and primary training, and as needed to job fulfill necessary job requirements. Hours of work are typically between 8:30 a – 5 p. This position periodically requires additional hours beyond a 40-hour work week.
