The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily plant operations in the production and pack-off areas ensuring department productivity and quality standards are achieved. This position is also responsible for the individual performance of all production employees and has disciplinary authority within this department. He/she also commits themselves to meeting applicable government legislation, as well as meeting government, customer and consumer needs regarding food quality, safety and security. Shift 1: Monday - Friday 10:30 pm - 7 am

What’s involved in this role
Responsible for the effective supervision of production employees through positive leadership. This will be done through motivation, consistent communication, follow-up, coaching, consistent application of all policies and procedures (H&S, Quality Systems as per PRO.Q1555.002, HR, Operations), fostering positive climate of teamwork, supporting the training and development of employees, ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures

Responsible for production scheduling as it relates to staffing. This includes: daily line assignments, employee training, vacations, overtime assignments and modifying schedules due to unplanned absences

Coordinate production start ups, shutdowns and changeovers

Assist line leaders and maintenance department to ensure minimal downtime

Establish a culture of continuous improvement

What you need to join our team
3 to 5 years supervisory experience
Experience in the dairy processing industry would be an asset
Knowledge of micro-computing
