We are partnering with a highly respected 30-attorney law firm specializing in commercial and defense litigation to find a talented Defense Litigation Attorney. This full-time position is based in their beautiful downtown St. Petersburg office and requires a candidate with 3+ years of insurance defense experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload from pre-suit through arbitration and trial, including depositions, discovery, trial pleadings, and court appearances.
• Approach trial and arbitration matters with confidence and determination.
• Navigate Florida and Federal rules of civil procedure, e-filing, and court deadlines effectively.
• Develop innovative defense strategies to advocate for clients.
• Engage directly with clients, providing strategic business advice.
• Conduct seminars for clients as needed.
• Review and assess medical records related to litigation.
• Maintain a highly organized and detail-oriented approach while managing a significant caseload.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, writing, and research skills.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, attorneys, and staff.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of insurance defense experience.
• Strong knowledge of Florida Bar rules and Federal rules of civil procedure.
• Admission to the Florida Bar (Required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Westlaw, and/or Lexis.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
