The Retail GIS Analyst requires experience in spatial analysis for real estate and retail applications, including market analysis, site selection, trade area analysis, and demographic studies. Candidates with backgrounds in supply chain optimization, logistics network planning, or government geospatial intelligence who demonstrate strong spatial analysis capabilities are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct location-based market analysis and site selection studies
- Analyze demographic and psychographic data for trade area development
- Create and maintain automated geospatial processing workflows for real estate analytics
- Perform competitive analysis and market penetration studies
- Generate drive-time and service area analyses
- Develop and maintain spatial databases of property and market information
- Create compelling visualizations and maps for stakeholder presentations
- Collaborate with Data Science teams on predictive modeling
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in GIS with focus on one or more of the following:
- Commercial real estate analysis
- Supply chain network optimization
- Government geospatial intelligence
- Logistics route planning and optimization
- Market analysis and site selection
Strong understanding of:
- Network analysis and optimization
- Spatial database management
- Demographic data analysis
- Service area modeling
Proficiency in:
- ESRI suite (ArcGIS Pro, Business Analyst)
- Python for spatial analysis
- SQL for spatial databases
- Data visualization tools
Beneficial Skills:
- Experience with market research platforms (CoStar, REIS)
- Knowledge of location intelligence platforms (Placer.ai, SafeGraph)
- Web mapping development experience (Mapbox, Leaflet)
- Experience with automated workflow development
- Understanding of distribution networks and supply chain optimization tools
