Corporate Attorney
?Summary?
This position is responsible for handling all basic legal and compliance matters and projects for the company and the US group companies to ensure the legality of commercial transactions and advise the company on its legal rights, duties and obligations.
?Essential Duties?
(1) Reviews and drafts legal documents:
by reviewing, drafting, and administering contracts and agreements with customers, suppliers, subcontractors or others; by structuring, drafting, and reviewing reports and other legal documents; and by advising legal rights and obligations under corporate contractual agreements.
(2) Consults and handles corporate legal and compliance matters:
by consulting and handling all compliance processes, including but not limited to, general corporate matters, compliance issues, agreements, lawsuits, etc.; by liaising with outside legal counsel or the group companies on legal & compliance issues; by negotiating
deals and attending company meetings; and by supporting the Director, Legal & Compliance with legal & compliance matters as needed.
(3) Develops corporate policies and practices to mitigate legal risks:
by assessing and analyzing legal risks of corporate practices on an ongoing basis; by developing company policies, practices and procedures for handling legal issues; by researching, anticipating, and guarding the company against legal risks; by guiding the
senior management, managers and other employees in safe legal practices to minimize legal liability, including providing training; and by ensuring consistent and cooperative corporate compliance with applicable legislation, rules and regulations.
