Healthcare Associate - Chicago, IL

Our client, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a mid-level associate with 2-4 years of experience to join their nationally recognized health care practice in Chicago, IL.

Overview:

This position will be responsible for representing clients from all sectors of the global health care industry such as hospitals, health care systems, academic medical centers, large physician groups, payors, manufacturers of pharma and medical devices, and investors. Associates are expected to counsel clients on the full range of legal issues affecting the health care industry, including assisting with the structuring and negotiation of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and private equity transactions. Additionally, Associates advise on complex regulatory and compliance issues, including representing clients in government audits and investigations.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience working with health care institutions and business
• Solid working knowledge of regulatory issues, including fraud and abuse, False Claims Act, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA/HITECH privacy and security, managed care contracting, Medicare and Medicaid, and hospital/physician contracting
• Current experience working as an associate, in this field of practice, is preferred
• JD from an accredited university and excellent academic credentials
• Membership in the state bar for the market where you are applying, or the ability to become barred in that state
