The Technical Recruiter manages the full life-cycle of the recruitment process for positions within the company. This includes sourcing, screening, interviewing, and presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers. The recruiter will work closely with department heads, external contracting houses and recruiters to identify talent needs and ensure the recruitment strategy aligns with business objectives.
Responsibilities :
- Develop strategies to proactively source and identify candidates using various methods including job boards, social media, referrals, and industry events to attract top talent.
- Develop strong relationships with industry professionals, universities, and technical communities.
- Review and assess applicant resumes.
- Establish and maintain candidate future pipeline database.
- Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications.
- Conduct thorough interviews to assess technical skills, experience, and cultural fit.
- Work closely with department heads and technical teams to understand job requirements and role expectations.
- Provide expert guidance on hiring strategies and market trends.
- Coordinate and manage the interview process, including scheduling interviews, facilitating feedback sessions, and maintaining candidate communication.
- Manage the offer negotiation and closing process to ensure candidates are engaged and aligned with company expectations.
- Act as a brand ambassador, marketing company for hiring events.
- Work with the HR Manager to track recruitment KPI’s.
- Partner with marketing to prepare and post job announcements that will attract top talent.
- Provide additional support to all members of the HR team as needed.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years’ proven technical recruiting experience for cleared positions, including but not limited to DoD.
- 5+ years’ experience as a full-cycle recruiter for technically complex engineering positions in the military/defense industry.
- Experience recruiting for start-ups or high-growth companies is desirable.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Prior staffing agency recruiting experience preferred.
- Experience with Vendor Management and Vendor Management Systems is desirable.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience or commensurate work experience.
- Capability to speak technical technology verbiage for engineering and manufacturing positions.
- Familiarity with various recruitment tools (ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, Handshake, etc.).
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple recruitment processes simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas and to summarize complex issues.
- Ability to think critically and work independently.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work with a sense of urgency and effectively within all levels of the organization.
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
