Position Overview:

Our client, a renowned insurance defense law firm, is looking for a seasoned Insurance Defense Attorney with 5-7 years of litigation experience. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of insurance defense cases, including auto, premises liability, and general liability claims, from pre-litigation through trial. Candidates must be admitted to practice law in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle a wide variety of insurance defense cases, including auto liability, premises liability, and general liability claims
• Manage all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
• Attend depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
• Provide effective representation in court appearances and trials
• Collaborate closely with insurance carriers and clients to develop defense strategies
• Conduct legal research and provide thorough analysis to support case development
• Regularly communicate with clients, keeping them informed on case status and developments
• Analyze complex legal and factual issues, reviewing medical records, expert reports, and accident documentation

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active bar admissions in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey (Dual Bar Admission Required)
• 5-7 years of experience in insurance defense litigation
• Strong trial experience, including motions practice, depositions, and courtroom advocacy
• Proven ability to manage high caseloads and prioritize multiple cases effectively
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and legal writing skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with insurance companies and managing client relationships
• Knowledge of state and federal laws governing insurance claims in NJ and PA
