What you'll do...
- Develop and implement safety procedures ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Participate in root cause investigation of plant incidents, assist in completion of incident reports, and assist in implementation of corrective measures to prevent recurrence
- Prepare and facilitate safety bulletins and training sessions to team members
- Update and maintain safety policies, procedures, program records and manuals.
- Track and report trending data, contribute to departmental goal-setting based on safety performance indicators.
- Observe and audit work environments, conduct risk assessments and lead safety initiatives in collaboration with the safety committee.
- Assess industrial hygiene factors and provide recommendations for hazard mitigation.
What we're looking for...
- 2+ years of EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) experience in manufacturing environments
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations, health & safety laws
- Familiarity with job risk assessments, capable of identifying risks such as machinery, chemical, electrical in plant production processes
- Experience participating in accident investigations and independently writing accident investigation reports
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Continuous improvement mindset, strong problem-solver, attention to detail.
- Degree in Environmental Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
