RVA is seeking motivated engineering students to join our dynamic teams in Municipal, Land Development, Structural, and Transportation Engineering. We offer flexible contract opportunities ranging from 4, 8, 12, and 16 months, starting in Winter 2024 or Spring 2025. Duties:
Assist in pre-engineering site surveys and inspections during construction.
Design of roads, rail, sewers, watermains, and municipal infrastructure projects.
Help prepare AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Revit design drawings.
Provide office support during the construction stage of projects.
Assist with quantity calculations and preparing tender documents.
Collect design background data from record sources.
Assist in the preparation of calculations, design drawings, and reports related to site servicing and projects.
Aid the RVA team to ensure quality project delivery to our clients.
Perform other duties as assigned and relevant to position.
Qualifications:
The candidate must be currently enrolled as a third- or fourth-year student in the Civil Engineering program.
Knowledge of AutoCAD/MicroStation/Civil3D/Revit is an asset.
Demonstrates superior communication skills in English, both oral and written.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work in an interactive team atmosphere.
Must have a valid G Class Driver’s License and access to a vehicle.
Civil engineering student at a recognized university.
