This is a 24-Hour solo ER/Inpatient hybrid position for a rural hospital in Knox City, TX. Typically 12-15 hours working with the remainder on call. Physician will have sleeping amenities in a studio apartment on hospital grounds.

Dates of Coverage Needed: 11/21-11/30 Must be available until 3pm in case of travel delay.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Location: Knox City, TX - 80 miles from Abilene Regional Airport
Schedule: 12-15 hour shifts with night call
Position: ER/Inpatient Hybrid Program
Procedures: Cardioversion, Central Line Placement, Chest Tube Placement, EKG, Fracture Stabilization, Hematoma Blocks, I&D, IO Lines, Intubation, Laceration Repair, Local Anesthetic, RSI, Ventilator Mgmt
Bed Count: 12 Beds total - Acute, Swing and SNF
Total Beds: 14
Average Daily Encounters: 4
No ICU beds
EMR: CPSI
Lodging: Sleeping amenities: Single bedroom house a few blocks from the hospital. Carport without garage. Steps into house. Full kitchen, bathroom, laundry machines, living room. See pictures below.
Hourly rate with travel, accommodations and malpractice with tail paid.
