Applicant will work under the supervision of the site principal and/or director. This will include the diversity of the working schedule and the basic function of the daily job which could include but are not limited to:
Working with children with all disabilities from Mild/Moderate to Severe/Profound, assisting classroom teachers as needed, working with special education teacher, tutoring, interventions, special accomodations, supervising students, needed duty stations and any other jobs that may need to be done for the welfare and success of our students. All special education students are in the general education classroom at least part of the day.
The work schedule for all Paraprofessionals is 170 days per year.
Special Education Para-Professionals must have passed the Para-Pro test, the OGET or have 48 college hours.
