Lift Operators are at least 18 yrs of age and are the backbone for the Soda Springs resort. Their off days are spent over at Boreal lapping the park, searching for powder stashes, and cruising corduroy. Their workdays are spent outside at Soda Springs Resort creating a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone by operating chairlifts and conveyor lifts, operating the tube carousel or the jeep sleigh, checking guest tickets, assisting guests, shoveling, doing area maintenance, and taking laps. Their responsibilities are not just safety-critical but as the staff members that all guests interact with, they help create a positive experience for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels. No task is too small when working on Donner Summit; we all step up to help with any task needed no matter our title.

While every day is different and our roles may shift based on business needs, here is what tasks and responsibilities you can expect in this role as a
Lift Operator: - Ensure safe and efficient mechanical transport for our guests and employees on mountain and in the base area.
- Understands the basic mechanics of lift operations and operates controls
- Provides an excellent guest experience
- Prepares and maintains all lift area using hand tools
- Attends daily operations meetings to gather information on resort operations
- Controls flow of lift maze traffic
- Assists guest through the RFID gates and ensures everyone on the mountain has a valid pass
We're Looking for Lift Operators Who Can: - Take an interest in improving the experience of our guest
- Quickly and concisely relay important information/instructions to guests, mountain dispatch and their teammates
- Work well as a team so everyone enjoys their day at work
- Stand outside in all weather for extended periods of time
- Lift 50 pounds
- Work weekends and holidays
- Skiing/riding ability is a plus but not required!
