Position Summary:
Serves as resource person for Phlebotomy staff in the outpatient and inpatient setting. Assists laboratory leadership in accomplishing goals and objectives of the laboratory and the health system. Actively supports and participates in the laboratory and health system QI initiatives. Insures a quality product through established QI and QC programs, including competency and proficiency testing programs. Supports each laboratory manager's responsibilities with continued feedback and input.
Position Requirement:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor degree in a related field, preferred; Official HS Diploma and/or undergrad/grad transcript required for regulatory compliance.
- American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification as Phlebotomist, if eligible, preferred.
- Three years pediatric clinical laboratory operations experience and leadership skills.
