Position Title: CMM Operator
Team: Quality
Reports to: Metrology Manager
Character of Position
As a CMM Operator, you will be responsible for operating and programming the CMM to ensure that precision parts, details, and assemblies meet stringent quality standards of the aerospace industry.
Responsibilities
  • Measure and inspect jobs according to technical drawings and specifications for dimensional accuracy.
  • Interpret CAD models, blueprints, and GD&T symbols.
  • Program automated inspections to optimize accuracy and efficiency in measurement processes.
  • Record, analyze, and report inspection results, maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Contribute to the improvement of inspection processes to meet the evolving needs of aerospace manufacturing and quality standards.
  • Must contribute to corporate quality policy and objectives.
  • Follow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and its application in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Ability to use metrology tools and techniques, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Personal effectiveness/credibility.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Clear and consistent communication.
Experience
  • Verisurf or equivalent software.
  • 2+ years of experience operating and programming CMM equipment in a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards.
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Additional technical training in metrology or aerospace manufacturing is a plus.

Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.
