Senior HR CoordinatorThe Senior HR Coordinator is the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and callers. This position plays a key role in assisting the HR Manager with the hiring and the onboarding of our new employees. This position supports the plant and employees along with coaching and teaching the HR team.Job Functions:Recruiting, Onboarding and New Hires:Serves as the main point of contact for all recruiting, onboarding, and new hires whether a direct hire or a temporary hire.Learns about hourly vacancies from supervisors and managers and then coordinates with them on the recruitment and onboarding process.Answers the ARHR mailbox for job requests.Prepares all materials for recruitment and orientation.Conducts drug testing for new employees and files accordingly.Processes all new hire information and inputs the new hire information into Kronos.Sets up personnel files and folders for new employees with appropriate paperwork.Notifies agencies of temp absences and updates Kronos- HR timekeeping system.Conducts orientation and ensures that the new hire completes all required documents.Completes I-9 forms as required by law and runs information through E Verify.Assigns and empties employee lockers. Enters locker information into Kronos.Employee Support and EngagementPrepares security badges for all employees, contractors, and other authorized personnel in the security management badging system.Creates and places information on all bulletin boards including the electronic (Marlin) board.Manages employee birthday celebrations, baby showers and retirement functions and annual summer and holiday party and any other employee events.Maintains the employee forms boards and ensures there are sufficient copies for the employees.Uploads Employee Disciplinary Actions into the HR System as received and files in personnel file.Manages the Employee of the Month program.Assists with benefits enrollment and benefit changes.Processes all asset management in Kronos: radios, keys, uniforms, shoes, etc.Processes attendance letters, frequent flyer reports, time off requests and status update forms.EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:7-10 years of work experience in a related fieldAbility to work with sensitive information and maintain strict confidentialityOrganizational and communication skillsProfessional certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCPAll qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.GPAC (Growing People and Companies) is an award-winning search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States since 1990.
